I just read that Mr. Soros is buying gold. Do you think he is planning on shorting the dollar? Seems kinda strange to me. Afterall, he was big in financing the Obama ‘08 campaign…has he lost faith in Obama? Or did he set up Obama and the Democrats for a fall knowing that their budget deficits would bankrupt the country, and thus make gold much more valuable?
MVD34…I just reread my post and fail to see where I said that Mr. Soros is selling everything to buy gold. Is Mr. Soros, actually only buyng gold ETFs, or is he purchasing physical gold? And why? After all he made no secret of his desire to see this administration take office. Has he already lost faith in what he told us to support? I would think that if he really believed in the current administration that he’d put his money where his mouth is….in the recovery of the US economic system and buy dollars. I do think that increasing one’s gold position by a 152% stake shows that you have little or no faith in the recovery.

So a friend of a friend, whom isn’t too bright, unknowingly made an oral agreement over the phone to buy some gold from Goldline. I’m questioning if this is a binding agreement since there was no exchange of money…(price paid for a promise). Can he get out of it? What happens if he refuses to pay? Can’t he claim he was duped into buying it?
