I guess I am going to take it to one of the many places that seem to be buying gold these days. It is not scrap it is in perfect condition. But I am sure they will buy it as scrap. It is 14k gold and weighs 156.1grams. I just checked todays spot price and its is $1217 per troy ounce. So maybe that will save you a minute. I am just curious as a ballpark how much I can expect to get for it.

I’m looking a getting rid of a bit of unwanted gold jewelery, it’s not the best looking so will not sell it, was going to send it off to one of the many gold buying companies, as there is so many i don’t know where to start..

Any ideas of which is the best one to choose, which offers more, fastest payment etc ?

When you buy gold, do you actually own it??.

For example…if i buy an ounce of gold… does it get delivered to me. Does some guy knock on the door and deliver a ounce bar of gold for me, which then have to store? If not…how do i know it exist?

Example: if i say go to TD bank and buy an ounce of gold and they give me a piece of paper saying i own an ounce of gold and 3 months later i walk in there and say “I want my gold ounce bar” Do they or can they “Give” it to me?

Hopefully you guys kinda know what i am getting at…

And if i do “Own” it physically and i want to sell it… how do i then take my ounce bar of gold i have in the shed, and sell it?
