Yes. Estimates show that price of Gold is going to have a modest increase in the years to come even in predictions of a future mild inflation. $1,000 at the end of 09 and $1100 at the end of 2010.
P.D. It is a good strategy to invest in GOLD (I want to add some to my position as well) but I think you will find a better entry point in the weeks to come.

buying gold is not like buying shares…u got to know the rates of gold every day….infact it differeses every second….but the rates of gold jewellery is fixed 4 a day….
