Buying World of Warcraft Gold?

I’ve seen a lot of ads for buying World of Warcraft gold online, and I’ve got to know; what’s up with it? As a relatively new player to WoW (level 22 night elf druid), I’ve got some questions. Is buying gold online safe? Does it actually work? Do you have to enter your password to buy gold? Have YOU ever bought WoW gold online successfully?
I pretty much need the basics of buying gold, and any extremely good gold sites you’ve come across/used.
Also, is there some sort of offical Blizzard site/giftcard/voucher for buying gold?

It’s possible, and has worked - though I wouldn’t recommend doing it as blizzard may catch you out.
Don’t ever enter your personal details when wanting to buy gold, and a lot of gold sites are likely to have keyloggers on though, so it’s risky really.

NO> NEVER give out your username or password to anyone.
They don’t need anything more than your charcter name, faction and server.
If they ask for more, don’t even use them.
Also, be aware that Blizzard do not endorse this service.. It is not official, and it violates the license agreement.

It is against Blizzard’s EULA/TOS and can get you BANNED. Do not buy gold — ever. It’s not safe.
If you need money, drop your professions and pick up two gathering professions (mining, skinning, herbalism) and sell your pick-ups. My toon had 100g by the time she was level 13. You can have all the gold you want legally and without spending your real money.

i have bought gold in the past, i don’t remember the name of the website, but you put in your credit card info and and then they send you the gold to you wow mail. you won’t need to put your username /password info, but YOU will need to give them your toon’s name and realm/server you play on.
Blizzard does not endorse buying gold, so be careful. They will freeze your account. Good luck

I haven’t bought gold in WoW, though I did in Dark Age of Camelot a couple of times. There are a couple of reasons that I’ve never done so. The first is that Blizzard is against it. A friend of mine purchased gold once and was informed by a GM that the transfer of gold was under investigation and he may be losing anything he bought with it. It wasn’t a fun experience for him, though he ended up not losing his stuff.
Second, there are just a lot of ways to make money without spending any of your own money. There’s lots to do, even at level 22. A lot of this info is online. Fishing is one example for you. Here’s a write up I ran across on fishing for deviant fish. It’s great for your level, though you will have to watch out if you are on a PVP server.
My advice is to not bother buying gold. Do a bit of looking online and have fun playing. The money is surprisingly easy to come by.

You can easily make 200 gold per hour with this guide, my brother used it and he’s 15 and in my opinion not the brightest guy out there (hehe), so you’ll manage this fine:

Don’t buy it online, you dont need to!
I’m level 19 like you and I have a ton of gold. I make tons of gold easily and quickly, read more below.
The way buying gold works is you put up an auction for something that’s really crappy, and for a lot of gold. Then they buy it from you, and you get gold. Problem is, this gets you flagged by blizzard and banned.

Just be discreet.
Unless you are buying a TON of gold, or tell people about it, Blizzard doesn’t care.
They can’t really afford to-way too many of their players buy gold. Its the sellers they try to ban, not the buyers.
