You should try your local reputable dealer.   Definitely don't mail your gold and jewelry.  That's taking too big a risk in my opinion.  I have also heard you get very little back through the mailing cash for gold.

Stores like Keno have great credentials that you should look for to properly appraise your jewelry.  That's the first step.  Then they have to be reputable to give you your fair share of profit back!
