Im new to purchasing stock and I want to see a return whether its a ricky investment or safe, Im 21 years old so i can afford it to be risky, however everyone is talking bout gold. There are several reason you have been hearing about investing in gold. One reason is what you mentioned. It is an inflation protector. With the Federal Goverment printing money to save the stock market, inflation is on the rise. The constitution says that all these dollars must be backed by gold (they are not). That said, when the market makes its big correction gold will rise rapidly. If I were investing your money, I would wait until the vix hits 39.00 or 40.00. Then I would hit the market pretty hard with investing long term. The market probably has another leg or so to go on the downside.

I know how profitable gold investing can be. My brother made really good money doing just that, and myself I am making good money investing in gold.
I recommend to anyone who’s thinking of starting to invest in gold to read a book or two on this topic, as there so many mistakes and blunders that are possible to make when you first start in this industry.
