Hi Mina
about your question I say yes but when if u or any of ur relative were working there bcoz they know the actual market rates and also nowadays the gold have international rates, so there is hardly a difference of 100-200 INR only (it depends upon the currency of the country & its exchange rate)
Recently I’ve bought 02 gold biscuits (10g each) from Riyadh (Saudi Arabia), as I was there for 02 years and both I bought on the different time & I compare them with the rates prevailed in India, so I found there is only difference of just 100-200 INR. but the quality is excellent as compare to India
So buy the gold smartly & have a nice trip
Happy Journey
Bye

what you want to buy? gold as investment or gold as ornament?
if you need to get ornament here or somewhere else (by selling the biscuit for making the ornament) it is wise to get the ornaments. But if it is for investment, no second thoughts buy biscuits.
Why am I saying gold ornament is because, the making charges levied by the jewelers are regulated here by the government and it is very less. for 8gm bangles, it is only 750 fills which is around US$2. Back in India, it is 2-4% depending on negotiations.
