why do these companies want to buy gold so bad? some people say its because gold holds its value very well and isnt susceptible to obama and his raising taxes on big businesses which will cripple our economy

Huang Zhong asked:

Is there a conspiracy?

Because the US economy is not backed by the Gold Standard. So are they buying all this gold, because other countries do have that?
Is having all this gold gonna make them “royalty” in Europe? Or something?
Oh. That’s interesting.

Did not know that.

So there’s no conspiracy?

Why are people buying Gold and Silver now?

A while ago, I remember encountering an MMORPG where, using real money, you could exchange it for in-game money (and vice versa) via some in-game process in association with Paypal, or somesuch. Does anyone know the name of this game, and whether it is still up and running?
Yes, I’m sure that it worked both ways… it was touted that it was a *real*, working, economy. When it came out, I applied to beta test it, but was not selected, and in hindsight, I was curious to see how it was doing… but can’t seem to remember its name anymore. IIRC, it came out around the same time as TES: Morrowind did… maybe a little later.
BDOLE: I’m pretty sure it was Second Life. Thank you!

dirkduff…: No, Guild Wars does *not* endorse gold/plat buying or selling in any way, shape, or form, and will, without hesitation, ban anyone who so much as *smells* as if they were buying or selling money, items, or accounts, let alone actually does it.

I’m talkin’ about *legit*, dev-approved buying and selling here.
