What’s the easiest way to get gold on WoW without buying it?

Gathering professions like herbalism, mining and skinning are a great way to make money in game. I’d suggest taking up skinning, and then picking between mining and herbalism since they both require the use of a tracker and you can only track one thing at a time. Skinning doesn’t require a tracker, you just kill stuff then skin them. On some servers, even low level materials will net you a good bit of gold because most people are too lazy to go farm them on their own. Fishing is another good one, and you won’t have to use up a main skill slot to learn it. Once you’ve gathered up stacks of stuff, just sell them on the Auction House.
Another way to supplement your income would be to farm companion pets. There are rare elite mobs that drop pets (in some cases you shouldn’t kill them but find their nests when they’re up) that will go for several hundred gold a piece. Go to a site called warcraftpets.com. They have information about where all these pets can be found. Kari N
