Clark Howard from CNN.com has a scam artilcle on this. You mail in your gold and you get about 1/3 to 1/4th of the value you would get at any pawn shop or local jewelry buyer. If you want to sell, stay away from anything online. Leave it for the dummies to mail in their gold and accept whatever offer they get - they will never know if they got a good price or not.
