will i be banned for buying gold in world of warcraft?

ok i know i may get abuse. but its is hard to make gold in wow, im lvl 80 spent my northrend cash on cold wheather flying and dual spec and repairs etc..im a paladin so its expensive as a plate wearer. i get 1 hour on wow because i have work and quite frankly i dont wana be farming gold. i bought 2k gold. the chances of me being cought is slim but if i am will i be bannned? ive heard theres so much gold spamming blizz is trying to ban gold sellers as to buyers, please tell me what you think

everyone and i mean everyone buys gold in WOW. and they buy much more than you probably do. so i don’t think there’s much for you to worry about. blizzard needs to understand no matter what, there’s too many people who buy gold to stop it. pancake

as long as you don’t go buying huge amounts (like going from 2K to 50K very, very quickly), you’re probably ok. Aklyon

I have bought gold plenty of times in WoW.
At one point, I used to buy on behalf of all my friends and a few guildies since my account had a large buyers discount.
I always requested they sent the gold to a level 1 alt, then as soon as I got the gold, trade it to a friend (dont mail it) and have them trade it back as soon as you log your main. once it is done, delete your level 1 char. KAREN N

I say it’s not worth risking all the time and effort you put into getting to Lvl 80 and getting the things you already have. Seth B

You have to remember that this is a virtual world, servers that log all activity. It is not difficult to track where gold came from and track down who ended up with it.
I would imagine that you could fall through the cracks, as long as you don’t make a habit of it. But all it takes is for your seller to become sloppy and get noticed. Malik L
